Brechin City kept themselves in with a chance of winning the Third Division championship with a comfortable 3-1 win at strugglers Montrose.
They moved up to second place in the table, three points behind leaders Cowdenbeath with two games to play, after their victory at Links Park.
Brechin took the lead in the 28th minute through David McKay, their loan signing from Dundee. And it was 2-0 just two minutes later when midfielder Dougie Coulston bagged his seventh goal of the season.
The hosts then made Brechin's job even easier when defender Mark Craib was sent-off for a professional foul.
Having been reduced to 10 men, Montrose then dug deep and managed to pull a goal back through Craig Mailer in the 70th minute.
But the comeback ended when Brechin re-established their two-goal lead five minutes from time, midfielder Roddy Black notching his third goal of the campaign.
