Stenhousemuir eased their relegation worries with a comfortable 3-1 victory, and at the same time ended any lingering hopes Queen of the South had of claiming promotion.
Stenhousemuir broke the deadlock after just six minutes when Isaac English rattled the bar and Graeme Davidson ran in to tap home the rebound.
However, Queen's pulled themselves level on the half-hour when Martin Hughes was brought down in the box and John O'Neill calmly scored from the spot.
But the visitors took control after the interval, going ahead within a minute of the restart when English slipped home a pass from Chris Jackson.
With 59 minutes gone the same player wrapped it up, claiming his second goal with a close-range shot after a mix-up in the Queen's defence.
