Battling Clydebank defeated Stenhousemuir thanks to an opportunist strike from Alex Burke on the stroke of half-time.
The visitors started brightly and almost scored from their opening attack with David Menelaws forcing a magnificent save from goalkeeper Jamie Campbell.
The goal was set up by substitute Isaac English who pounced on the ball in midfield and ran 30 yards, leaving a clutch of players in his wake, before finding Burke and the youngster slotted the ball home.
Despite a late flurry of attacks from Stenhousemuir they simply could not pierce a solid Clydebank defence with Rab McKinnon and Kenny Brannigan giants in defence.
