A stunning Stewart Orr goal helped Queens Park put further distance between themselves and the Division Two drop-zone as they ran out 2-0 winners at Stirling Albion.
Queens took the lead in the 13th minute when good work from Kevin Finlayson down the left was rounded off with a pinpoint cross which found Mark Gallagher.
He had the simplest of tasks to head the ball past Chris Reid.
The visitors doubled their lead 30 seconds into the second half when Gallacher miscontrolled a pass 25 yards from goal but the ball fell kindly for Orr, who lashed a magnificent effort into the top corner of the net.
Ray Stewart's Stirling side now look certainties for relegation with this disappointing display coming after two desperate wins, although Albion have three games in hand over most of their rivals at the bottom.
This was a long-awaited victory for John McCormack's side following a poor recent run and they increased the gap between themselves and Stirling at the bottom to eight points, with Forfar in between.
