Two Berwick goals in a 10-minute spell either side of half-time condemned Stenhousemuir to a 2-0 home defeat.
The Warriors wasted a great chance to open the scoring after 24 minutes when Scott Miller had a spot-kick saved by keeper Willie McCulloch after Ally Graham brought down Barry Donald.
Both sides lacked a final telling ball until the 30th minute when Berwick's Garry Woods toe-poked the ball forward from 12 yards after wrong-footing Simon Mensing, but the ball nicked off the outstretched boot of keeper Garry Gow and went inches wide.
The visitors finally made the breakthrough in the 39th minute. Mark Doughty drove in a cross from wide on the left that a deflection off Andy Storrar and flew over Gow into the net.
Three minutes from the break, Berwick made it two when Jimmy Sandison pulled Gary Wood's jersey in the box and Barry Elliot converted from the spot.
Berwick continued the second half in the ascendancy and in the 51st minute Innes Ritchie was not far away with a 30-yard drive.
Stenny's Barry Donald was sent off for his second bookable offence nine minutes from time.
