Dennis Wyness grabbed a glorious hat-trick as Inverness Caledonian Thistle cruised to an impressive 4-2 victory against relegation-threatened Morton.

Wyness gave an early indication of things to come when he opened the scoring from Davide Xausas' pass in the third minute.

David Bagan extended the lead when his 12-yard drive deflected off David Murie after 28 minutes.

Morton winger Paul McDonald then crept in at the back post to convert a cross from David MacGregor, but Wyness put Caley further ahead five minutes after the break.

Wyness completed his hat-trick from Paul Sheerin's cross after 56 minutes before Roy Mathieson reduced Morton's arrears nine minutes from time.
