A solitary strike from Sean Christie in the 78th minute was enough to give Forfar a 1-0 victory in a dour encounter against Stenhousemuir.
Neither goalkeeper had a save to make before Christie's strike and the dismissal of Forfar's Robbie Horn in the 63rd minute for his second bookable offence was the turning point.
The home side pushed forward to try and take advantage, but Forfar hit them on the break. Liam Keogh, on loan from Celtic, received a clearance from his own defence on the halfway line and put the ball over the Warriors' rearguard.
Substitute Christie raced in from the left to gather before slotting the ball under home goalkeeper Garry Gow from the edge of the box.
Home substitute Alan Blaikie blazed over from 10 yards from a Brian McColligan pass.
