Honours finished even after an entertaining clash at Stark's Park with Raith and Inverness battling it out for a 1-1 draw.
Rovers, with new French signings Sammy Monin and Wilfrid Nanou in their line-up, started brightly but were guilty of spurning a host of chances early on.
After a goalless first half, it was visitors Inverness who broke the deadlock in the 50th minute when Monin could only parry Bobby Mann's header and Dennis Wyness reacted quickest to slam home the rebound.
Raith responded immediately and were rewarded 12 minutes later.
Jay Stein beat the offside trap and squared the ball for Mark Jones to fire into an unguarded net from eight yards.
As the final whistle neared, both sides had chances to score the winner but, with both goalkeepers in fine form, the decisive strike never came.
