Full-time: Queen of the South 1 - 0 Clydebank
Soccernet.com

Queen of the South survived some intense Clydebank pressure to hold on to their 1-0 lead and give their promotion bid a boost.

The Dumfries side went ahead against the run of play after 37 minutes when Jon Sunderland headed against the underside of the bar and John O'Neil raced in to head the rebound into the net.

And just after the interval, the home side had the chance to go further ahead when Fraser Wishart brought down Warren Hawke in the area.

Hawke took the kick himself, only to see Clydebank goalkeeper Jamie Campbell produce a wonderful double save.

He dived to punch out the spot-kick and then saved again as Hawke followed up the rebound. Mark Angel could do no better and hit the ball over the bar from just three yards.

As the final whistle neared, Queens were forced to hang on desperately to their slender lead as Clydebank turned up the pressure and looked the better side.
