Partick Thistle moved closer to the Second Division title as they beat Queens Park 2-1.
The home side took the lead after 11 minutes when Scott McLean cleverly turned his marker before shooting low into the net.
They continued to pile on the pressure and it seemed only a matter of time before they would add a second goal as David McCallum and Steve Craigan tested on-loan Queens Park goalkeeper Barry John Corr.
But against the run of play, Queens Park equalised after 37 minutes when Steve Marshall headed in a cross from Danny Ferry.
Five minutes into the second half Partick again took the lead when Celtic keeper Corr failed to cut out a cross from Derek Collins, and James Smith headed the ball powerfully into the net.
Peter Lindau should have added a third goal for Partick after 68 minutes but saw his shot blocked from close range.
