East Stirling's long winless home streak continued after an emphatic defeat at the hands of promotion hopefuls Hamilton.
But the Falkirk side, who haven't won a home League game since April, deserved more from a game in which they took the lead.
Top-scorer Steven Hislop put them ahead in the ninth minute and although the visitors had most of the pressure it seemed as though they would hang on until half-time.
However, Dave McFarlane hit a deflected free-kick into the net for Accies 37th minute equaliser, and the home side never recovered from the setback.
Just short of the hour mark a blatant push by Shire defender Michael Hall on Accies' Michael Moore gave the visitors a penalty which Stuart Callaghan slotted home.
They made certain of the points with a quick-fire double from McFarlane.
On 70 minutes he headed home a Callaghan cross from close range and two minutes later took advantage of some poor defending to complete his hat-trick and secure three points for the visitors.
