Hamilton cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over Peterhead to pull themselveswithin one point of the top spot in Division Three.
The points were decided by a three-goal burst early in the second half that saw the home side take control of the game and boost their promotion hopes.
The first half was evenly balanced with Peterhead's keeper Ivor Pirie producing a series of good saves to repel Hamilton, while Ian Stewart and Martin Johnson looked dangerous for the visitors.
But less than 60 seconds after the restart, Hamilton took a deserved lead. David McFarlane began the move just inside the Peterhead half with a pass to Stuart Callaghan, whose cross was volleyed past Pirie by Allan Russell.
The keeper produced a series of blocks from McFarlane, Russell and Bonnar before Accies added a second on the hour.
It was a scrappy goal as Moore Tindal and Pirie all went for the ball which squeezed in at the near post, with Tindal being credited with the own goal.
But there was no doubting the quality of the third as McFarlane neatly controlled Bonnar's cross before driving the ball into the net, to secure the victory.
