Second Division leaders Partick Thistle were never in any danger as they eased to a 2-0 victory in a lacklustre Glasgow derby at Queens Park.
Partick took the lead after only five minutes when a Danny Lennon corner was met at the near post by Martin Hardie and he slipped the ball low into the net.
After that it was Partick who continued to create the chances and their central defender Jim Smith moved up field to come close, before keeper Colin Stewart was fortunate to grasp a header from Hardie.
Then it was the turn of Peter Lindau to test the keeper before Partick added a second in 35 minutes.
This time their wing-back Alan Archibald was released on the left and his low cross was guided in by George Shaw.
Queens disappointed and did not create any real chances in the second half and it was again Partick who came close with a fierce Brian Hamilton drive which rose over the bar.
Home keeper Stewart made a good save late on from Lindau.
