Full-time: Dumbarton 3 - 0 East Stirling
Soccernet.com

Dumbarton got back on the winning track and left East Stirling nursing a New Year hangover after a 3-0 defeat.

The Sons went ahead following an own goal by visiting defender Michael Hall.

He nodded Alex Grace's cross past his own goalkeeper after 28 minutes to put the home side in front.

Dumbarton goalkeeper John Hillcoat kept them in front with a series of good saves to deny Dougie Todd, Ciaran Quinn and David Lorimer before the break.

Paddy Flannery got Dumbarton's second as he raced through the Shire defence to blast the ball home and with just three minutes left, substitute Chris Smith made it three as he blasted in Grace's cross.

Dumbarton's Steven Bonar was the only booking in a fast and entertaining contest.
