Airdrie grabbed a deserved share of the points in an entertaining 1-1 draw with Clyde at Broadwood.
Clyde had got off to a flying start when Chris Aitken crossed deep into the Airdie penalty area from the right for new signing Brian Crawford to head home in spectacular fashion.
Both sides struck the woodwork before half time during a lively encounter but after the break Airdrie took the initiative in their search for an equaliser.
Clyde goalkeeper Bryn Halliwell looked like keeping the Diamonds out with great saves from Jesus Garcia Sanjuan and Austin McCann but he was eventually beaten with 10 minutes to go.
David Prest broke on the right and crossed for the impressive Fabrice Moreau to bullet a header home from six yards out.
