Two-goal Martin Hardie earned the three points as Partick Thistle increased their lead at the top of the table as they beat Stenhousemuir.

Despite being on top during the first half, it took Partick until the 57th minute to open the scoring when a drive from on-loan signing Derek Collins came back of a post and Hardie re-directed the ball into the net.

Seven minutes later they added a second when defender Alan Archibald collected the ball after a Brian Hamilton shot was cleared off the line.

His 25-yard drive found the back of the net after hitting the post.

Ten minutes from time, Hardie completed the scoring with a sweeping move from midfield and turned the ball into the net from close range.
