Morton got off to the perfect start to set them up for victory against visitors Inverness Caley Thistle - who must be wondering how they are leaving Cappielow pointless.
With three minutes gone Harry Curran's free-kick caused enough confusion in the Caley defence to allow Ross Matheson to get in a shot that stuck Jim Calder's legs and fell to Derek Anderson, who slotted home from four yards out.
Fifteen minutes later Paul McDonald fired in a waist high cross from the left and Steven Aitken ran in to smash home a 16-yard volley.
Caley carved out chance after chance but their forwards were definitely out-of-sorts with the biggest culprit being Dennis Wyness who blazed over an open goal early in the second half.
