Promotion rivals Brechin and Hamilton battled their way to a goalless draw in mud bath conditions at Glebe Park.

Brechin created most of the chances and went close in 27th minute when Moray Leask had a drive saved by Ian MacFarlane.

The home pressure continued and Kevin Bain had a header saved then McFarlane did well to save from Doug Coulston.

The second half was a story of constant Brechin pressure and Keith Hogg saved Hamilton when he cleared a Leask header off the line.
