Table-toppers Hamilton and Cowdenbeath blew the chance to claim the top spot for themselves with an inept display of finishing in a dire 0-0 draw at Firhill.
The home side shaded the first-half action, but with chances few and far between both goalkeepers were rarely troubled.
Allan Russell, Mark Nelson and Paul Gaughan provided the only chances of note for Hamilton but Cowdenbeath keeper John Martin saved all three comfortably.
The best opportunity to steal the points fell to the visitors after 77 minutes when Graeme Brown's charge into the box was halted by keeper Ian McFarlane but Jimmy Boyle blasted a spot kick over the bar.
