Brechin City maintained their promotion challenge with a 2-1 victory against Albion Rovers.
The home side raced out of the blocks into a ninth minute lead minute when Kevin Bain stepped up to score from a 25-yard free-kick which took a deflection off the defensive wall on its way into the net.
Brechin pressed for more goals and went close in the 32nd minute when Lee Bailey cutback for to Roddy Black to shoot wide.
Albion threatened to level the scores just three minutes later when James McKenzie dribbled into the box, firing straight at home keeper Derek Soutar.
But having weathered the visitor's storm, Brechin made it 2-0 with 50 minutes played when Black crossed from the by-line for Moray Leask to side-foot home on the near post.
Albion gave themselves hope in the 72nd minute when substitute Ian Diack broke on the right and scored with a low shot but Brechin held on for the win.
