Falkirk lost their unbeaten home record in a five goal thriller at Brockville.
Underdogs County took the lead in the 28th minute. Craig Taggart crossed from the right and when Alex Bone nodded down and Steven Ferguson volleyed home.
The Bairns levelled six minutes after the interval when Steven Craig was brought down in the box by Eddie Cunnington and Mark Roberts gave visiting keeper Nicky Walker no chance from the spot.
Home joy was short lived however, and three minutes later Brian Irvine rose to head home a Ferguson corner to put his save back in front.
But the home team applied the pressure and levelled again in the 78th minute when David Nicholls rose to bullet home an Andy Lawrie cross.
The Highlanders were not to be denied and six minutes from the end Derek Holmes hit a 16-yard shot that went in off Mark Kerr.
