Raith Rovers goalkeeper Guido Van de Kamp proved the hero as the visitors won 2-1 at Iverness.

He pulled off a superb save seven minutes from the end to preserve his side's lead.

The Fifers were on top from the start and Jay Stein put them ahead in the 16th minute when Thistle goalkeeper Jim Calder failed to hold a thundering 25-yard drive from Shaun Dennis and Stein followed up in style.

Ivan Mballa capitalised on a miscued header from Stuart McCaffrey to stretch the lead after 25 minutes.

Dene Shields missed a golden opportunity to put Raith further ahead when he failed to connect with a cross from Jay Stein midway through the second half.

The Jags mounted a late surge and Paul Sheerin reduced the deficit from Roy McBain's cross in the 79th minute.

Van de Kamp capped a superb performance when his late save from Sheerin denied Thistle a well-deserved share of the points.
