Inverness Caledonian Thistle thrashed Morton 4-0 with a dazzling display of pace, precision-passing and finishing power.
Roy McBain opened the scoring when a cross from Barry Robson had the Morton defence in a tangle in the 32nd minute.
Martin Bavidge extended the lead when a superb 40-yard pass from McBain set up the chance on the stroke of half-time.
Charlie Christie and Paul Sheerin both hit the woodwork before Bavidge netted number three in the 77th minute.
David Bagan put Thistle further ahead when he got on to the end of a defence splitting pass from Bavidge four minutes later.
Morton goalkeeper Matthew Boswell stood between the Greenock men and humiliation and added to his list of superb saves when he denied Bavidge two minutes from the end.
