Alex Bone's fifth goal of the season was the highlight of an otherwise uneventful match as Ross County beat Alloa 1-0.
Bone struck in the 70th minute when he fired the ball high into the net from 15-yards after good work from John McQuade and substitute Derek Holmes on the right touch-line.
Holmes had just replaced on-loan Andy Smith from Kilmarnock, who had failed to make much of an impact.
Wasps' keeper Mark Cairns saved Alloa from a heavier defeat with some superb saves.
Alloa's best chance came early in the second half when a mistake by Paul Kinnard allowed Ian Little to thread the ball through to Chris Wood, but the Wasps' striker fired well wide of target.
Eddie Cunnington came closest to adding to County's lead, but Cairns made a marvellous fingertip save to deny the County full-back.
