Elgin City finally celebrated their first Scottish League win as two second-half goals put paid to Dumbarton.
The home side, with Willie Furphy inspirational as a trialist at sweeper, struck shortly after Dumbarton's Chris Gentile had a goal disallowed for offside on the hour.
The deadlock was broken after 67 minutes when Connor Campbell headed home the rebound after Colin Milne's 25-yard chip struck the crossbar.
Seven minutes later, Campbell turned provider for Steve Clinton to nod home at the back post.
