Raith Rovers, in spite of losing their three best players to rivals Livingston, were the better of the sides and perhaps slightly unlucky not to win the game which ended goalless.
Clyde keeper Bryn Halliwell was easily the man-of-the-match, with a string of saves that kept the Rovers' forwards at bay, particularly his brilliant save late on that denied Jay Stein.
The visitors thought they had made the breakthrough in injury-time, but Paul Browne's effort was disallowed after the referee spotted an infringement.
Clyde's best chance fell to Ritchie McCusker, but he shot wide from close range when he should have scored.
Raith's Paul Tosh had a brilliant chipped effort that beat Halliwell, but came back off the crossbar just before half-time.
And moments later as he looked ready to score he pulled up suffering from a hamstring injury.
