Full-time: Queen of the South 0 - 1 Forfar Athletic
Soccernet.com

Bottom side Forfar stunned Queen of the South at Palmerston by taking all three points with a 1-0 win.

David Bowman's strike on 25 minutes was enough to separate the two sides.

Queens, still seeking their first home win of the season, tried in vain to get back into the game with no success.

Although they exerted most of the pressure it was Forfar who came nearest to scoring and doubling their lead.

Just before the interval a cross from Sean Christie left Willie Stewart with the goal at his mercy but he headed over.

Forfar set the pace immediately after the interval and Christie had a raking shot which went just wide.

Queens replied with a corner but they seemed to have lost their early flair and allowed Forfar much more space.

Bowman had the best chance of the second half but he blazed his shot past the Queen's goal.

Then as Queen's toiled in a bid to get into the game David Matheson had to make a double save to prevent Stewart getting in on a cross which would have eased the Forfar worries.
