East Stirling's inability to win their home matches is threatening to cut them adrift of the Third Division's pace-setters as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Albion Rovers.
They again struggled on home-turf against lowly Rovers, and had substitute striker Gary Higgins to thank for salvaging a point.
Rovers' young team weren't expected to trouble Shire but harried and harassed them for the entire match.
They deservedly took the lead on 57 minutes when striker Yannis Begue tapped home after Shire keeper Jim Butter failed to hold a long-range strike.
Shire boss George Fairley sent on Higgins for Gregor McKechnie and within 15 minutes of making his appearance the substitute had levelled the scores.
Joe Tortolano flipped over a left-wing cross which Higgins headed into the ground and over keeper Chris Fahey.
