Brechin marched on at the top of the Division Three table with a deserved 3-1 victory over third-placed East Fife.
Brechin were on top from the start and took the lead in the 11th minute. A Ben Honeyman corner was headed back across goal by Jimmy Nairn and Kevin Bain squeezed a shot inside the post.
East Fife equalised on 23 minutes when Steve Kerrigan headed down a John Allison cross and Barry Moffat scored with a fine overhead kick.
Brechin attacked again and regained the lead on the half-hour mark when a Doug Coulston cross was headed home by Blair Sturrock.
Brechin were on top at the start of the second half and deservedly stretched their lead after 61 minutes when a Paul Riley pass was lobbed over keeper McCulloch by Sturrock.
