Livingston took all three points from their Division One clash with Airdrie, beating the Diamonds 1-2 away.
Boss Jim Leishman certainly saw much more fight from his side than was evident last week against Raith Rovers.
Sometimes though their efforts were a little over the top. After a rather lacklustre first half the match caught fire after just three minutes of the second period when both sides scored.
The Diamonds took the lead through a fine Martin Prest strike after good build-up play from his team-mates Antonio Fernandez, and Darren Brady.
The lead was short-lived as Livingston equalised with virtually their first effort which saw John Anderson head home.
Eight minutes later it was the visitors who were in front from a penalty kick taken by David Bingham.
A spate of bookings followed in the closing period with Graham Coughlin being red-carded, and subsequent Diamonds attacks found Livvy keeper Neil Alexander in fine form.
