Queens Park dominated the early exchanges of this top-of-the-table clash but were rolled over in the final half hour as Stranraer ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.
Paul Walker was the home side's saviour as he struck the Stranraer opener on 62 minutes and set up a fine win.
He doubled the hosts' lead 12 minutes later with a stunning solo effort, running from the half-way line before hammering the ball past Queens keeper Colin Stewart.
Five minutes later Duncan George made it three with a fierce drive which finished the contest and took Stranraer to top spot in the Second Division.
Queens started full of enthusiasm but their eagerness wilted when the failed to crack the home defence before the break.
Tactically Stranraer always had the edge and Queens were a sorry looking outfit by the final whistle as their promotion hopes took a massive blow.
