East Stirling came from behind to capture all the points with a 2-1 win over Dumbarton - but they were saved twice by the woodwork as the home side fought back.
Paddy Flannery got the home side off to a dream start with a goal after just two minutes. Steven Hislop equalised for the Shire after a fine move engineered by Gregor McKechnie, and then Steven Stewart nodded them in front when he rose unmarked to head Douglas Todd's free kick.
After the break Dumbarton twice saw good efforts denied by the woodwork as Willie Wilson and Stephen Jack tried to find the net.
Dumbarton's misery was compounded when they had a penalty claim turned down in the dying seconds.
