Ross County had to battle for their first Division One point of the season as they claimed a 1-1 with Airdrie when George Shaw scored from the spot after Jesus Sanjuan had handled inside the box.
But Eddie Forrest levelled in first-half injury-time when he swept home Antonio Calderon cross. Calderon ran the show in the middle of the park for the visitors, but it was keeper Nicky Walker who saved County from certain defeat with a string of excellent stops.
County finished with ten men after Alex Bowen was stretchered off in the 88th minute.
But they nearly stole a winner at the death when captain Brian Irvine connected with a Paul Kinnaird cross, only for Airdrie keeper Sanchez Broto to push his effort to safety.
