Hamilton dropped their first league points of the season in a goalless draw at East Stirling in a match which was never short of incident.

Three times the home team's strikers were clean through on Accies keeper Iain MacFarlane and three times they failed to hit the target.

First, Steven Hislop tried to lob the keeper but his attempt was too high.

Then substitute Gary Higgins only had MacFarlane between himself and a goal but still shot across the face of the target.

In the closing minutes, Gregor McKechnie raced clear but chose to shoot wide instead of passing to the unmarked Dean McPherson who would surely have scored.

Hamilton enjoyed most of the pressure, but were powder puff in front of goal.
