What could have been an interesting match between Albion Rovers and Dumbarton was spoiled by an over-officious referee whose whistle was seldom silent.
As it was, a simple headed goal by ace marksman Paddy Flannery was enough to give Dumbarton a 1-0 away win over the Wee Rovers.
It was the Sons' first points of the season and sees them leapfrog Rovers in Division Three.
Flannery's 30th minute strike came when Toby King chased a loose ball and sent over a perfectly-flighted cross for Flannery to head into the far corner of the net.
Rovers came closest to finding the equaliser a couple of minutes from the break when Mark Booth's 20-yard drive crashed off the bar with goalkeeper Hillcoat grasping at thin air.
