PORT LOUIS, Mauritius, April 2 (Reuters) - French-based midfielder Desire Periatambee makes a return to the Mauritius squad for the weekend's Cosafa Cup first-round match against Namibia in Belle Vue, officials announced on Monday.
Periatambee, the former Auxerre midfielder who now plays for
Grenoble, remained with his club for last month's 3-0 defeat by
South Africa in the African Nations Cup qualifiers.
Also returning are striker Robert Rateau and goalkeeper
Orwin Castel, who was injured on the eve of the loss in Port
Elizabeth.
Mauritius coach Farnce L'Aiguille has six foreign-based
players at his disposal in a 22-man squad for Sunday's knockout
round match in the annual southern African championship.
