MADRID (Reuters) - Spain have recalled Real Madrid's versatile midfielder Guti and Real Betis playmaker Capi for their
October 12 home Euro 2004 group six qualifier against Northern Ireland.

Uncapped Deportivo Coruna defender Joan Capdevila was also included when coach Inaki Saez named his 21-man squad
on Thursday for the qualifier and an October 16 friendly against Paraguay.
Deportivo's Diego Tristan was recalled following his recovery from a niggling ankle injury in a slightly larger squad than usual
because of doubts over the fitness of Raul and Atletico Madrid defender Jose Antonio Garcia Calvo.
The Real Madrid striker picked up a groin strain in Wednesday's 3-3 draw against AEK Athens while Garcia Calvo has been
suffering from a similar injury in recent weeks.
The in-form Guti, who has been playing in a strike role for Real since the beginning of the season, and Capi are being
groomed to cover for injured playmaker Juan Carlos Valeron who is out for two months after fracturing a fibula in a recent
league match.
Guti has won three international caps, but last played nearly two years ago when previous coach Jose Antonio Camacho
called him up for a friendly international against the Netherlands, which Spain lost 2-1.
Capi has made just one previous international appearance, but has been in fine form for his club who have produced some
sparkling attacking football so far this season.
Valencia midfielder David Albelda has been recalled following his authoritative performances for the defending Spanish
champions in both European and domestic matches.
Albelda is one of four Valencia players in the squad, which also includes team mates Ruben Baraja, Carlos Marchena and
Vicente.
Real Madrid contribute seven players, including young left back Raul Bravo who keeps his place despite the fact that he is
not a first team regular because of his position as understudy to Brazilian international Roberto Carlos at the club.
The Barcelona trio of Gaizka Mendieta, Xavi and Carles Puyol, who returns to the squad after injury, provide the next biggest
representation.
Deportivo defenders Cesar and Enrique Romero have been dropped, while Athletic Bilbao midfielder Pablo Orbaiz was
ruled out through injury.
Saez's side beat Greece 2-0 away in Athens in their first Euro 2004 qualifier at the beginning of last month and top group six
ahead of Ukraine and Armenia, who drew 1-1 in their opening match.
Spain recorded a comprehensive 5-0 win against Sammy McIlroy's Northern Ireland in a World Cup warm-up match in
Belfast last April.
