BERLIN, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Germany's Kaiserslautern have re-signed Swiss international Ciriaco Sforza after the expiry of his contract at Bayern Munich.
It is the third time the 32-year-old forward has joined
Kaiserslautern. He previously played at the club between
1993-1995 and 1997-2000 when he captained the side to the 1998
championship.
In a statement on Sunday, Kaiserslautern said Sforza had
joined on a two-year contract with an option to extend it by
another year, depending on performance. Sforza is likely to be
in the line-up for a home game next Saturday against Schalke 04.
Sforza had been lining up a move to his former Swiss club FC
Aarau but negotiations broke down at the end of July.
