ROME, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Juventus midfielder Enzo Maresca incurred the wrath of Torino's players after scoring a late equaliser in the derby match that finished 2-2 on Sunday.
After scoring Juve's 89th minute leveller in the Italian
Serie A clash, Maresca imitated Torino scorer Marco Ferrante's
goal celebration by holding his forefingers to his head to
imitate a bull's horns, the logo of Torino.
The gesture prompted scuffles between the players and a
post-match row.
Ferrante was quoted in Monday's Corriere Dello Sport saying:
'Mimicking the horns of the bull, maybe he wants to come to
Torino but if he can't play at Juventus maybe he would not be
able to play here either.
'We don't want people like that between our feet.'
Maresca defended himself by saying: 'I did the horns because
I did not know how to do the zebra.' He was referring to the
black and white stripes on the Juventus shirts.
The draw left Juventus in third place in Serie A, one point
behind Inter Milan and Roma.
