Tomas Rosicky: Not for sale say Borussia Dortmund (MichaelCooper/Allsport) |
The midfielder's sale would have marked a huge profit for Dortmund, who bought the 20-year-old for a Bundesliga record £8million from Sparta Prague in January.
Internazionale deny making any bid but Michael Zorc, technical director at the German club, said: 'It's true, but the player is not for sale.'
Rosicky is happy at the Bundesliga leaders, who play European Champions Bayern Munich on Saturday, and said: 'I am not even thinking about changing clubs. I still have high aims here.'
One of those aims will be to perform well in this year's UEFA Champions League after a disappointing campaign last term with Sparta Prague.
The message from Rosicky, who has a five-year's on his contract, that Serie A can wait was gratefully received by coach Mattias Sammer who said: 'It is a mistake to sell players who are important to the team. Selling Rosicky would be a mistake.'
The young Czech is tipped to become an international superstar and Dortmund had to fight-off interest from Liverpool and French club Strasbourg for the player at the start of the year.
BVB eventually landed the playmaker for £8m after becoming the first Bundesliga club to float on the Frankfurt stock exchange.
Finance director Michael Meier raised around £100million from the floatation and has used some of the money to invest in new players such as Parma's Marcio Amoroso, Rosicky and fellow Czech international Jan Koller.
