Pyunik Yerevan win Armenian title

YEREVAN, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Pyunik Yerevan secured their third Armenian title without kicking a ball at the weekend after opponents Ararat Yerevan failed to show.

The Armenian Football Federation (AFF) fined Ararat £130 and awarded Pyunik a 3-0 victory which took their tally to 52 points from 19 matches. They have three games left in the season.

Zvartnots Yerevan, who did not have a game at the weekend, stayed in second with 42 points from 20 matches, while Shirak Gyumri moved to third on 40 points after 19 games.

Shirak were also awarded a 3-0 decision after their opponents Lernogorts Kapan missed Saturday's match after their team bus broke down.

The Armenian season ends on December 1.
