Van Nistelrooy, Manchester United's £18.5million signing from PSV
Eindhoven, could well line up alongside Chelsea's Jimmy Floyd
Hasselbaink.
Van Bronckhorst, an £8.5million signing by Arsenal from Rangers,
and Zenden, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona in a £7.5million deal,
could team up in midfield.
Van der Sar, who joined Premiership new boys Fulham from Juventus, wil compete with Liverpool's Sander Westerveld
for the keeper's jersey.
Chelsea's Mario Melchiot completes the Premiership contingent and
Bobby Petta's form for Scottish champions Celtic has earned him a
place and the possibility of making his Holland debut against
Sven-Goran Eriksson's men.
The former Feyenoord man, a goalscorer in Celtic's 3-1 win over Ajax in the Amsterdam ArenA last night, has previously been named by Van Gaal but was forced to miss out through injury.
Edgar Davids in included in the squad despite the midfielder's
drugs ban.
Davids, suspended after testing positive for nandrolone last season,
has been cleared to play in friendlies for club and country.
But the 28-year-old will not be available for the crucial World Cup
qualifier against the Republic of Ireland on September 1.
Barcelona defender Frank de Boer whose similar ban for testing
positive for the steroid following a UEFA Cup game against Celta Vigo
was reduced on appeal will play in Dublin and is also in the squad.
