TIRANA, May 28 (Reuters) - SK Tirana, who missed out on the Albanian championship in the final round of games of the season, won some consolation with their 11th Albanian Cup victory on Saturday with a 5-0 win over holders Teuta Durrest.
Mahir Halili hit a hat-trick while a Nevil Dede penalty and goal from midfielder Sokol Prenga completed the rout.
'My main goal when I returned to the (SK Tirana) bench was the Albanian Cup, although I did believe we could still win the championship,' coach Shkelqim Muca said.
In April, Muca replaced Hungarian coach Miklos Temesvari who was sacked because of poor results. After leading for most of the campaign, SK Tirana finished the First Division campaign in second, two points behind champions of Vllaznia Shkoder.
