TIRANA, May 21 (Reuters) - Vllaznia Shkoder snatched the Albanian First Division title with a 6-4 win over Shkumbini Peqin in the last match of the season, edging out SK Tirana after they led for most of the campaign.
Vllaznia finished two points clear of runners-up and outgoing champions SK Tirana, whose 2-0 home victory against Luftetari Gjirokaster in Saturday's final round of games was not enough to keep their title.
Three goals in each half for Vllaznia - Martini, Gjokovic and Lici before the break and Sinani, Duro, Bylykbashi afterwards - enabled them to sign off in style.
SK Tirana did have the season's top scorer in Indrit Fortuzi with 30 goals, almost twice as many as his main rival, Vioresin Sinani of Vllaznia.
Besa Kavaje and Skenderbeu Korce, who filled the last two places in the 14-team First Division, were relegated.
