LIBEREC, Czech Republic, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Slovan Liberec came from behind twice to salvage a 2-2 draw with Panathinaikos in their UEFA Cup third round, first leg tie on Thursday.
The Czech side began brightly but gave away a penalty after
13 minutes when defender Petr Johana brought down striker
Emmanuel Olisadebe. Angelos Basinas scored from the spot.
Liberec equalised just before halftime when Gyan Baffour
found Martin Zboncak and his firm shot cleared the despairing
dive of goalkeeper Antonios Nikopolidis.
Zboncak could have put the home side ahead just after the
break but his header hit the bar.
Poland striker Olisadebe put the Greeks back in front when
he tucked the ball home from close range after a free kick in
the 53rd minute.
But Liberec levelled again with an 85th minute penalty by
Samuel Slovak after Giannis Goumas was held back by Jan Nezmar.
