PAMPLONA, September 28 (Primera Liga) - Osasuna defender Cesar Cruchaga is confident that his side will clip the wings of high-flying Real Sociedad when the two sides meet in the Basque derby tomorrow.
The sides are enduring differing fortunes at the start of the season.
While Osasuna have made their traditional slow start, with only one point from three games, Real have got off to a flyer with two wins and a draw.
That draw will be remembered as a highlight of the season.
Raynald Denoueix's side came from behind twice to finish 3-3 with Real Betis, in what is widely regarded as the best game of the season so far.
Osasuna have not had the easiest of starts, having already been humiliated by Real Madrid.
They put up spirited early resistance at the Bernabeu before finally succumbing 4-1, and they also lost to Copa del Rey holder Deportivo La Coruna at home - although counted themselves unfortunate to take nothing from that match.
Depor had to come back from a goal down before finally taking the points with two goals from in-form Dutch striker Roy Makaay.
Cruchaga was been impressed by what he had seen from Real Sociedad this season, but knows anything can happen in derbies.
He said: ``It's a derby, we only have one point and we want the fans to see a performance like the one against Deportivo.
``If we play like that and don't have any bad luck, we will win the game.''
Sociedad's Yugoslavian striker Darko Kovacevic, formerly of Juventus, has already hit five goals and formed a dangerous partnership with Turkish international Nihat Kahveci.
``They have bought well in attack and I think they are one of the best teams in the league from midfield going forward,'' added Cruchaga.
Nevertheless, Cruchaga was confidence Osasuna could get a good result from the game.
He continued: ``Real are not going to score 10 goals every three games nor are we going to concede nine goals every three.
``I am sure they won't score on Sunday.''
Osasuna welcome back Patxi Punal following suspension, while Real are likely to be unchanged from the side which drew with Betis last weekend.
Kovacevic suffered a hip problem in training, while Valery Karpin also missed a session with a calf problem, but both are expected to be fit for Sunday.
The only question mark hangs over Norwegian defender Bjorn Torre Kvarme, who missed Friday's training session and is doubtful for the game.
The former Liverpool defender will undergo further tests today, with the club set to allow the full-back until Sunday to prove his fitness.
