Former England and youth international Perry will be looking to build on a so far promising but unfulfilled career at senior level.
Another to come through the youth ranks Perry broke into the first team in 97/8 but didn't cement a place until the following season.
Sprung to prominence in 1995 when he was invited to train with the England squad by then manager Terry Venables a full year before he had made his senior debut.
Venables saw him as one for the future and he has impressed at both right-back and in the centre of defence at club level. Will be looking for a big season.
