An attacking, left-sided defender who joined Manchester City's First Division promotion campaign from home town club FC Copenhagen in January 2002.
The Denmark international, who also had a loan spell with PSV Eindhoven in 1996, cost Blues boss Kevin Keegan a bargain £700,000 - based on appearances. He signed a three-and-a-half year deal.
Jensen, who has Champions League experience, made his debut for the club in the 2-1 win at Watford. Netted his first goal for the club in the 2-1 win at Birmingham City.
When signing the player, Keegan told the club's official website: 'He has a wonderful left foot. He has got decent pace and is free kick specialist. He has a very good temperament and has got great experience.
'We are buying proven ability. He would have been a, "Bosman" transfer at the end of their season which is July, so we are not paying big money for him.'
Jensen trained with the club for a few days prior to sealing a move to English football, and has so far not disappointed.
Travelled to the World Cup with Denmark, and got a taste of some of his new Premiership rivals in games against France and England.
