The Italian, who insists he is desperate to stay a Hammer, said he has been told by managing director Paul Aldridge that the Premiership strugglers will not be giving him another contract.
The 34-year-old former Lazio and AC Milan forward had given the London club a one-month deadline to open talks - but was distraught to be discarded before the Hammers even discovered his demands.
But Hammers skipper di Canio has vowed to give his best and help the Premiership strugglers avoid relegation.
'There is no offer - not even with a pay cut. I have asked the club 'What do you want to do with me for the future?
'You know I want to stay with West Ham for the rest of my career. I have never asked for a one or two-year contract, that I want one billion pounds or one pound,' he told The Daily Express.
'All I have asked is for them to clarify the situation. I gave them one month. I thought that was more than enough for them to decide what to do with a player who is not on trial.
'I didn't get an answer for 29 days. Then Paul Aldridge (the club's managing director) came to my house and he told me 'Paolo, I am here to say we can't offer you a new contract.' Even if West Ham don't want me I will give everything for the shirt.'
However, West Ham manager Glenn Roeder has played down the reports that Di Canio will be leaving
Roeder dismissed this saying; 'Paolo could
be in the squad next season. He is very important to the team,
especially in the situation we are in now.
'Paolo has been in magnificent form and he is very
influential on the team. He's one of those
players you never need to worry about. No-one under-estimates the value of Paolo to this football
club.'
