Portsmouth have reached an 'amicable agreement' with former manager Tony Pulis, who departed Fratton Park after a short tenure at the club two years ago.Former Bournemouth, Gillingham and Bristol City manager Pulis, who arrived at Pompey in January 2000, was sacked in October of the same year for what the club cited as 'gross misconduct'.
Pulis took the decision to the High Court, but the club insist that they have now reached agreement with him.
A statement on Pompey's official website read: 'Portsmouth Football Club and Tony Pulis are pleased to announce that the litigation between them has been resolved and an amicable agreement has been reached.
'Mr Pulis wishes to record how much he enjoyed his time working at Portsmouth FC, saying: 'Pompey's loyal fan base deserve the success they now seem to be on the brink of achieving.'
'Portsmouth FC wishes Mr Pulis every success for the future and hope it will not be long before he returns to management at the highest levels.'
